US Patent Granted to Purple Tree
Purple Tree Technologies Inc. in Columbia, MO has been granted a United States Patent for their invention of an alert system and apparatus that utilizes a now proprietary process to disseminate emergency information from various sources to the public. The information will be presented to personal devices such as cellular phones, PDA's, and Purple Tree's proprietary eFob.
The system will utilize a unique feature of cellular technology that will be unhindered from the bottlenecks that can happen on voice and SMS texting channels. The types of alerts the system will be able to disseminate can be NOAA and NWS weather alerts, local emergencies, amber alerts, FEMA, or Homeland Security. The alerts can be targeted to a single cell tower, groups of towers, or nationwide if required.
